Our team took home: The National Professional Excellence Award for the Australian Institute of Building for Residential Construction $2M – 25M
“We are so honoured to have won this award for The London project. We would firstly like to thank our project team and our subcontractors for bringing this project to life. Additionally, we wouldn’t have been able to do it without our project partners TAB Development, Ewert Leaf, Webber Design, Simpson Kotzman and Tumac Consulting. A BIG thankyou!”
The London is…

The highlights that inspired the build:
Located on the site of Port Melbourne’s former London Hotel, the original building occupied a prime corner location on Port Melbourne’s waterfront for well over a century, built in 1861 by prominent Irish hotelier Thomas Monahan. The London’s interiors reflect the history of Port Phillip Bay as a gateway to Melbourne, as a true waterfront location opposite the beach and Station Pier.
The history that inspired the team:
The Camillo team are so proud to be an integral part of transforming this prime waterfront location into a welcoming destination for both locals and tourists alike. We are most proud of how we were able to overcome the multitude of design and construction challenges to bring this project to life (you can read all about it here).
This award is a testament to our commitment to realising the design vision and the reimagining of one of Port Melbourne’s most iconic destination, in the heart of Melbourne’s most desirable bayside location.
